- Take regular breaks: It’s important to take breaks from the screen to give your eyes and brain a rest. You can set a timer to remind yourself to take breaks every 20-30 minutes.
- Move around: Try to get up and move around every hour or so. Go for a walk, stretch, or do some light exercises to help reduce muscle tension and improve circulation.
- Exercise your eyes: e.g. Looking away from the screen every 20 minutes, and focusing on distant objects for a few seconds.
- Adjust your screen settings: Turn down the brightness. Install f.lux.
- Get enough sleep. Make sure you’re getting 7-9 hours of sleep per night.
- Stay hydrated. Drinking plenty of water can help keep your eyes moisturized and reduce dry eye symptoms.
